Races

Here is where you will choose your starting race which determines many of your future choices along with starting statistics and bonuses. Each race has its own unique traits at the start of the game as well as later on when choosing specific features.

Earthlings

Humans or Earthlings are the main inhabitants of the planet Earth. While Earthlings may not start off as the most powerful characters they have a great tenacity and spirit. Earthlings tend to push the boundaries of what is capable.

Human Spirit

At the start of your turn, as long as you are not unconscious you regain 1 ki point. This effect only works while in combat.

Resilient 

When you drop to 0 hit points and use a Destiny point you can roll 1d6 and if you roll a 6 you regain the Destiny point.

Saiyans

Saiyans are natural born warrior race that come from the Planet Vegeta. Their natural fighting ability makes them very difficult to combat.

Saiyan Blood

When you take a long rest, you gain an amount of experience points equal to half the life you regained during combat from hostile enemies. (i.e. if you receive 10 damage during combat but heal 4 damage before taking a long rest, you only restore 6 points when you take a long rest and gain 3 experience points.)

Saiyan Tail

Saiyans have a tail that allows them to transform into a power Ape like creature. When you look at a full moon for 3 rounds you transform into a Oozaru. You gain the Transformation of Oozaru.

Namekian

Namekians are the predominant form of intelligent life on the planet Namek. They are among the most important race in the universe due to their apparently unique ability to create Dragon Balls and the dragons they summon, allowing for wishes to be made.

Regeneration

You can regrow any of your limbs as long as your head and torso are intact. Doing so uses up half of your Ki. When you do this you regain a number of hit points equal to the Ki spent.

Healing Aura

As an Action, you can heal an ally that is within 5ft of you using your Ki. As an action, you heal 5 hit point for every 1 point of ki you spend.

Arcosians

Arcosians are a race that is simply naturally stronger than any other known race. They are so powerful that they are forced to develop transformations to conceal their unctrollable power.

No Training Needed

When spending experience points on skills they cost half as much. When spending experience points on features it cost twice as much. You can transform as a quick action.

Unrivaled Survival

You are immune to poison and have the ability to breathe in space.

Majins

They are distinguished by their unique color, amorphous bodies and morphology.  They can adjust their body to almost any form.

Amorphous Body

You are immune to any bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. When you take damage from a Ki based attack you can reduce your maximum Ki by half the damage instead. This reduction lasts until you take a short rest. As an action, you can manipulate your body to any form you wish and reduce your size enough to squeeze through a space as small as 1 inch.

Boiling Over

When you drop below half health you can use your reaction to vent steam from your body in a fit of rage. When you do you take half damage from all attacks for 1 minute.

Androids

Androids (or cyborgs or bio-androids) are a form of artificial fighter pioneered by the Red Ribbon Army's Dr. Gero. The programs have since been picked up and expanded upon by many black market oragnizations and defense contractors. They come in a wide variety of models, and for that reason players may only recieve one of the Racial Traits listed

Inorganic Construction

Your power level cannot be sensed by any normal means. You do not eat, drink or breathe. You are immune to poison, disease and exhaustion. On a successful grapple, you may use Charge Ki ability by draining it from the grappled creature. This reduces the grappled creatures maximum Ki, if the grappled creatures maximum Ki is reduced to 0, it then drains from the creatures hit points instead. You can repeat this process as an action as long as you have the creature grappled.

Cyborg

Your power level cannot be sensed by any normal means. You do not eat, drink or breathe. You are immune to poison, disease and exhaustion. You can choose one of the Earthling's traits in addition to this one.

Bio-Android

You can choose one trait from any other race except the Saiyan Tail. On a successful grapple, you may use Charge Ki ability by draining it from the grappled creature. This reduces the grappled creatures maximum Ki, if the grappled creatures maximum Ki is reduced to 0, it then drains from the creatures hit points instead. You can repeat this process as an action as long as you have the creature grappled. 

Aliens

There are many different alien races that have come and gone throughout the dragonball universe. In terms of simplicity this is a catch all kind of race that allows you to pick any of the humanoid races in the dragonball universe that are not mentioned above.

Choose Two Traits


Alien Body

Parts of your body act as its own armor, when you are wearing no armor you can add your toughness to your agility to determine your Block or Agility.

Exceptional Senses

Your heightened senses allows nothing to go unnoticed. Choose two of your senses, when you make an awareness check using one of those senses you two d20s using the higher result.

Angelic

Your power is derived from the Kai's and therefore cannot be sensed. When you make a check for any information about the afterlife you treat that check as trained. If you choose this trait you cannot choose the Demonic Trait.

Demonic

Your power comes from the demon world and all your Ki attacks get the "Demonic" Trait. However you cannot use a Destiny Point when you drop to 0 hit points. If you are killed you are returned to the demon realm you came from. If you choose this trait you cannot choose the Angelic trait.

Extra Limb

You were born with an extra limb, whether it be and arm, leg or tail. As a quick action you can attack with the extra limb dealing damage equal to your Strength.

Adaptable Organs

You gain one of the following: Immune to poison, Immune to disease, can breathe in space, can breathe underwater, telepathy, This trait can be taken more than once.
