Fast Food

Introduction

The Fast Food subclass for the Chef class brings a sizzling blend of speed, strategy, and explosive culinary power to the battlefield. Specializing in high-impact, quick-strike techniques, Fast Food chefs excel at dishing out damage rapidly while applying various debilitating effects to their enemies. Their mastery of fast-paced cooking translates into swift and deadly combat maneuvers, leaving their foes overwhelmed and disoriented.

Sizzling Strikes

When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you are capable of flipping your Deep Fry feature quickly. When you would deal damage with your Deep Fry Feature, you can reduce the amount of damage dice to inflict another effect. You can only choose one per Turn.

Back of the Line: reduce 1 dice, target must make a Strength saving throw or be pushed back 5ft.

Flip It: Reduce 2 dice, target must make a strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Side Order: Reduce 3 dice, target ally within 10ft gains advantage on next attack roll against the target.

Overpayment: Reduce 4 dice, target must make a Wisdom saving throw or gain disadvantage on next d20 roll.

Combo Meal: Reduce 5 dice, you can make an additional attack against the target as part of the same Attack Action on your next Turn.

Super Size: Reduce 6 dice, the next time you would deal your Deep Fry damage to the target, you roll your Deep Fry dice twice. This cannot be done on consecutive Turns.

Grease Fire

At 6th level, your long hours in the fast food service has caused you to expel an oily residue when you walk. As a Bonus Action, you can cause oil to be left behind in each space you move until the end of your next Turn. Any creature that moves over the affected area must make a Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. Any fire damage or hitting the oily spots will cause the entire area to catch fire dealing 2d6 fire damage to any creature or object within the area. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses on a short or long rest.

Overdrive Fryer

At 10th level, you can channel your energy into a powerful burst of cooking speed. As a bonus action, you can enter a state of Overdrive for 1 minute. While in Overdrive, your Deep Fry dice increase by one size (e.g., from d4 to d6), and you can make one additional attack when you take the Attack action. You can use this feature once per long rest. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses on a short or long rest.

Flare-Up

When you reach 14th level, your attacks become even more explosive. When you would deal your Deep Fry damage, you can instead, cause an explosion of fire. The target and all creatures within 30 feet of it (excluding you) must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking fire damage equal to your Deep Fry dice on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of once) and regain all uses after a long rest.
