FF Status
Overview
Status can affect characters both in a positive and negative fashion. These can be inflicted by both allies and enemies and their durations can be temporary or until cured. Status effects can be detrimental if left unchecked and turn the tide of any battle.
Some status effects will require a check when a character is inflicted with the status. A failed check means they become effected by the status effect. A successful check means they are unaffected by the status effect. If a status effect has a check in its description then the target must make that check.
If a status makes you unable to take an Action on your Teams turn and you have available actions, your action is spent for that turn.
A character can only benefit or be penalized by one instance of a status effect. If they are affected with the same status effect, the highest duration takes over.
Temporary
These status effects only last until the end of a round or a battle. These can also be cured with the appropriate item, magic or ability. The list below are considered temporary. These status effects are removed if the character is KO'd or killed.
If any negative status's are acquired outside of combat, they become permanent status effects instead. If there is a triggered effect such as poison, it triggers every 10 seconds.
