Circle of Taboo

Forbidden Forms

The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more dangerous monsterous forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a monstrosity with a challenge rating as high as 1. You ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there. You cannot shape change into any creature that has the word "Legendary" in its stat block. Additionally, you still follow the rules of being unable to cast spells in your new form even if your shape change into a form that has access to spells.

Starting at 6th level, you can transform into a monstrosity with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.

Restricted Teachings

Starting at 2nd level, you choose one monstrosity of CR 1 and two monstrosity of CR 1/2 or below. These three creatures are ones you have seen and studied during your training. You can use a bonus action to Wild Shape into these creatures instead of having to use an action. Additionally, while in monstrosity form you can understand and speak in simple manners with other creatures of the monstrosity type.

Dreadful Strikes

Starting at 6th level, your attacks in monstrosity form count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Mutation

Choose one attack or trait from the creature, you have access to that feature while out of your shape change. This lasts until you use your shape change or finish a long rest. Some examples include wings for a fly speed, claws or teeth for bite and claw attacks or a tail with a stinger attack.

If you are reduced to 0 hit points or are incapacitated against your will, you can immediately summon a monstrosity of your choice that your able to Wild Shape into. This creature tears itself from your body in a space within 5ft of you. You become stable and take control of your new form. It shares your same initiative as you. This creature remains until you are no longer incapacitated. When you do, the creature returns to your body and you regain half of its remaining hit points.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
